Located in the village, the Val d'Este is one of the region's oldest inns, known as the Café du Commerce. In the 19th century, it was bought by the Révilliod family, originally from Les Contamines. This family was known both as musicians and republicans.

At the end of the 19th century and during the first half of the 20th century, the café du commerce became the headquarters and meeting place of the local brass band led by the Révilliod family. This band played a political role, supporting the Republican party against the monarchical party, which was supported by the Church. Architect Jaillet, who was a "pièce rapportée" in this family, was a great president emblematic of this era.

The building was renovated around 1970-80, with facades repainted by Jeanroy. It was at this time that it took on the name Val d'Este.

Make the most of your stay in Val d'Este to enjoy a wide range of experiences. There's a whole host of activities to choose from, including magnificent cycling trails, nature outings, cultural walks and a wide range of skiing activities!
